Associate, Boston Common Golf
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
Boston Common Golf is one of six inaugural teams in TGL presented by SoFi. The team features Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama representing Boston and New England playing in five regular season matches broadcast live on ESPN against the other TGL teams. The matches are played at the SoFi Center, a custom-built venue in Palm Beach, Florida, that combines a data-rich virtual course with a state-of-the-art short game complex.
Boston Common Golf is part of Fenway Sports Group (FSG), a global sports, marketing, media, entertainment, and real estate company. FSG’s portfolio includes the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club, Pittsburgh Penguins, NASCAR’s RFK Racing, NESN, Fenway Sports Management (FSM), and Fenway Sports Group Real Estate (FSGRE).
This associateship is a part of our larger FSM Associate Program and will follow along with the programming throughout the year.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Boston Common Golf Associate role is a one-year associateship that is responsible for coordinating and executing multiple projects and assignments on behalf of Boston Common Golf in addition to supporting the BCG team across the entire business. This person must be well versed in all aspects of Boston Common Golf with an appetite to work on many tasks related to this start-up venture and demonstrate a willingness and commitment to working in a collaborative environment.
The role is based in Boston and the hourly rate for this role is $22.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing BCG events, including community and sponsor events.
- Establish community outreach programming and identify areas of need.
- Assist with event logistics, such as venue booking, catering, guest lists, and transportation.
- Provide on-site support during events ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Manage invitations, RSVPs, and communications with attendees.
- Organize and maintain files, documents, and records.
- Assist with internal and external communications, ensuring timely follow-ups on key initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings, including research and agendas.
- Support Boston Common Golf business development efforts.
- Help distribute in-kind donations for local non-profits.
CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- A passionate community builder seeking to gain entry-level experience within the sports industry
- Strong commitment and demonstrated experience providing a high-level of customer service.
- Prior work experience within fast-paced, unstructured and frequently changing environments.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Attention to detail while also having the ability to work quickly balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Must be able to lift and move boxes of ~20 pounds.

- The role has a one-year commitment, running from early June 2026 through early June 2027.
- The role is paid on an hourly basis, based on a 40-hour week, with the ability to earn overtime pay.
