Company Overview:
Popcorn.co is revolutionizing storytelling with AI-powered "vibe moviemaking"—transforming single text prompts into complete movies with shots, scenes, intelligent characters, dialogue, and soundtracks in minutes. We're building the social network where movies aren't just watched, they're remixed, collaborated on, and evolved by communities. Led by serial entrepreneur Adi Sideman (founder of YouNow with 120M users), we're a venture-backed startup supported by Union Square Ventures and other top investors.
Job Description:
We are looking for a creative, digitally-native Content Creation Intern to pioneer a new wave of AI-driven storytelling and community engagement. This is not traditional marketing — you’ll be building official, unofficial, and experimental content channels that turn trends into instant cinematic moments. If you live and breathe internet culture and can spot a meme before it blows up, this is your playground. This position is fully remote with a flexible vacation policy and schedule, and potential for growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Produce 10–20 short-form pieces of content daily for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and other platforms using a mixture of Popcorn.co’s AI moviemaking tools and CapCut or other editing apps.
- Trend-to-Movie Conversion: Rapidly turn trending topics, memes, and cultural moments into cinematic parodies, commentary clips, and viral experiments.
- Channel Management: Operate both official branded channels (business demos, professional storytelling) and unofficial/pseudonymous channels that blend into meme culture organically.
- Cultural Commentary: React to breaking news, viral moments, and social conversations with fast, relevant, creative content.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze engagement and virality patterns, run A/B tests, and adapt content strategy based on results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing team to shape messaging, showcase product capabilities, and feed insights back into product development.
- Ad Campaign Concepting: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm, script, and produce creative ad spots that communicate Popcorn’s value in fresh, shareable ways.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergrad or master’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Digital native with authentic understanding of meme culture and online trends.
- Proven content creation experience (personal accounts, internships, freelance, or agency work).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to shift tone between corporate, casual, and comedic.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools, such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord.
- Intermediate video editing skills on Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar, for short-form content packaging.
- Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bonus: Knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
-
Bonus: Experience with AI creative tools, viral format experimentation, and trend forecasting.
What We Offer:
- Hands-on experience building and running multiple viral content channels.
- Mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and creatives.
- Exposure to cutting-edge AI tools and creative workflows.
- Fully remote work setup.
- Flexible vacation policy.
- Competitive salary and potential for full-time conversion.
- The chance to shape the content culture of a high-growth startup at the intersection of AI, entertainment, and social media.
