Investment Intern

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded intern to support our retirement financial advisor with essential portfolio tracking and reporting functions. In this role, you'll maintain up-to-date investment records, monitor portfolio performance, and prepare clear, actionable reports that inform the office’s financial advisor. This hands-on position offers practical experience in investment operations, data management, and financial communication—ideal for students interested in how investment portfolios are monitored and managed day-to-day. You'll work directly with our advisor and team to ensure accurate record-keeping, timely updates, and professional reporting that supports our clients' financial goals.

What you will do:

  • Research and Analysis: Conducts analysis of investment strategies and opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management Support: Assists in monitoring the performance of existing investments, updating and maintaining databases, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling: Updates existing financial models and communicates with the investment team the results.
  • Reporting: Prepares reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, summarizing research findings, investment strategies, and performance metrics for the financial advisor's review.
  • Market Monitoring: Stays updated on market trends and economic developments that could impact investments.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with the investment team to support the implementation of investment strategies.

Position Details:

Location: Shingle Springs, CA

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Hours: 5-8 hours per week
