Logistics Intern

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Undergraduate or graduate students currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field of study
  • Impressive work ethic, communication etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, process information quickly and problem-solve in a team-based setting

 

Responsibilities: 

We encourage all members of our team to collaborate, to bring their knowledge from curriculum and experiences to actively participate in company growth, cross-trained under all aspects of our business. Interns will gain training in the following, with opportunities for further developing skills within selected categories as preferred.

  • Carrier Sales
    • Communicate with and track drivers to ensure pickup and delivery
    • Troubleshoot any issues as they arise
  • Operations
    • Extensive training in McLeod, Excel and other relevant platforms to manage shipments, with own book of business for implementation
    • Create and plan loads from customer sales for carriers
  • Customer Sales
    • Research prospective customers, gaining knowledge and understanding of shipping decision makers and share+strategize in weekly meetings
    • Learn about and initiate business growth with existing customers
