Job Title: Marketing Internship
Job Function: Farmingdale State College Hospitality Dining Ambassador

Job Summary: This role would require about 5-10 hours a week with a flexible schedule and is a paid position. Students with a Marketing major/minor are highly preferred. Our interns play a pivotal role in assisting us in delivering the best student experience by engaging with their peers through events, tabling, and social media activity.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Creating signage and marketing collateral.
- Canva experience is preferred, but we can train on this if needed.
- Crafting social media posts and engagement around our dining services program.
- Tabling to help educate students on how to use their meal plans on campus.
- Persuading students to upgrade their meal plans, or purchase a commuter meal plan, to not miss out on the college experience.
- Engaging with students in our dining spaces to collect feedback to better the dining program on campus.
- Conducting a full analysis on results and implementing change with the operations team.
- Assist management team with assorted administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 5 hours per week during the academic year.
- Must be able to communicate effectively; able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be an active student at Farmingdale State College.
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong customer service, communication, leadership, organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Work Environment: This role may require you to be in our kitchen spaces. Please be advised that proper attire must be worn to ensure the safety of our student workers. We will provide company non-slip shoes during the onboarding process.
