IT Intern

Summary Statement 

IT Interns are responsible for assisting LRD staff in the operation of the Information Technology Department.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing assigned tasks, developing workflow solutions for internal staff, code development and data transformation, and participating in IT meetings,  

Responsibilities

Performs duties as assigned including but not limited to:

  • Contribute to data preprocessing and cleaning for various projects
  • Create workflows/code to extract data from various Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) or web sources
  • Support data analysis and visualization tasks
  • Assist IT Team with various activities including software and hardware maintenance
  • Assist IT Team with computer support and training for District Staff.
  • Attend IT staff meetings and related trainings

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 18 + years of age.
  • Recent graduate or currently enrolled, degree- seeking, college student (at least part-time) with a focus on computer science, information technology or other related field.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Pass drug test and background check along with a physical

  • Valid Florida Class "E" driver license
