Reach Higher Montana empowers high school students to make informed and inspired decisions about their futures. They provide resources and programming for Montana's high school students to identify and reach their career goals. Reach Higher Montana serves as the backbone organization for the Montana Work-Based Learning Collaborative (WBLC), which is the focus of this project. The WBLC is a cross-section of 30+ public and private organizations working to improve, enhance, and expand work-based learning in Montana.

The goal of this project is to enable individuals to access high-demand, high-growth jobs across the state of Montana. The project plans to do so by providing work-based learning opportunities to help youth and young adults build employability skills, professional networks, and career/technical skills. Part of the project will include building infrastructure for employers and programs/educators that can help sustain a high-quality program beyond one supervisor or educator. Our goal is for organizations and employers to have the confidence and capacity to sustain programming even amidst staff changes.

Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (MCNCE) serves as the intermediary for this project. MCNCE is a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to fostering civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across Montana. Led by CEOs from participating institutions, MCNCE works to improve community life and educate students on civic and social responsibility, preparing them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged leaders.
