Marketing and Event Intern

Harmels on the Taylor is looking for a fun motivated marketing & Event Intern to join our team next season. We are flexible on both start and end dates for seasonal workers. Employee Housing Opportunities are available for those that need them. 

Tasks: 

Events:

• Write event descriptions for the website and create engaging content for promotions.
• Create event booking links
• Design graphics for events, weddings, and live music nights (using Canva or similar tools).
• Attend events as needed for guest check-in and on-site support.
• Help run weekly events (bonfires, trivia set up, etc.)
• Targeted event messaging toward larger groups/longer stay guests

Marketing:

• Assist with social media content creation, posting, and scheduling. Utilize fellow team members and their down time to help get content
• Capture photos and videos during events for promotional use.
• Help ensure consistent branding across digital platforms.
• Help communicated with local partners on events/specials – Zuni Street Brewing, Luna Bakery, Scenic River, etc.

Weddings:

• Assist with day-before rehearsals.
• Support on wedding days with setup, coordination, and guest needs.
   

We are looking for someone who is a team player and has attention to detail. Team members must be available to work weekends and occasional summer holidays. They must also be a hard worker, have good listening skills, the ability to adapt quickly to hard situations and remain calm under pressure. Applicants must live in the Gunnison Valley or are willing to relocate to the property for work. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the outdoor hospitality industry

      Our Ranch Resort is located in the Taylor Canyon in the beautiful Gunnison Valley. Our cabins and property present an opportunity for guests to make lasting memories one experience at a time. Our cabins and facilities maintain a rustic look amidst modern amenities and service. 

      In addition to our 40 cabins, our resort consists of a restaurant and saloon, gold metal private fly-fishing waters, trail horseback riding, and a general store and coffee shop. 

      We offer competitive wages for all positions and possible bunkhouse housing available for team members that are 18+. Team members enjoy discounts on food, sundries, and fishing gear. They also have access to enjoy the various amenities on property like an employee hot tub, game room, summer events, and fly fishing on private gold metal waters. Not to mention being in the backyard of some of the best outdoor recreation areas of the state. These positions will be available from May - October 2026.
