Quality Operations Intern

Job Title:  Quality Operations US Summer 2026 Intern

The Quality Operations Intern, based in Cambridge, MA, will support Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, Inc.’s US Quality Operations team. This internship offers hands-on experience in a US FDA regulated environment, giving insight into US GMP and GDP requirements which are crucial to ensure product quality and patient safety,  strengthening compliance with Ipsen’s Quality Management System (QMS), global expectations, and regulatory requirements. 

 

We will not consider graduate students (MBA, MS, PharmD, etc.) or undergraduate students graduating before December 2026. Ideal candidates are Juniors graduating in May/June 2027 and Seniors expected to graduate in Dec 2026.

We are also not providing housing support, so students will need to provide their own housing over the course of the 11-week program.   

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing Quality Management System activities such as: Product Quality Complaints, Deviations, Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Change Controls, and Training Management. 
  • Assist with review and disposition of product returns and destruction, and assessment of temperature excursion inquiries. 
  • Assist with remediation projects and process improvement initiatives related to vendor management and global quality programs. 
  • Contribute to audit readiness activities, including gap assessments and documentation updates. 
  • Help maintain and update quality records in accordance with company policies. 
  • Assists and provides support to the members of the Quality Operations team in administrative activities to facilitate the overall compliance of Ipsen US Quality Management System.  
  • Participate in team meetings to learn cross-functional roles and quality processes. 
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as assigned. 

 

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree  
  • 3.0 GPA is a minimum requirement   
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.   
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Fluency in English is required. French and other European languages are an asset
