We are currently seeking a Seasonal Ranch Hand/Cashier to join our team. This is a temporary position, perfect for someone looking for hands-on experience in a lively, outdoor, family-focused setting. Seasonal team members who make a wonderful impression may be considered for ongoing opportunities as they become available.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, the Ranch Hand/Cashier plays a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by assisting with transactions, answering questions, and supporting daily ranch operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm smile and friendly attitude
  • Assist guests with purchases, including upselling when appropriate
  • Accurately process transactions and make correct change
  • Keep the front desk clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Prepare animal feed by cutting vegetables and assembling feed baskets
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Clean and maintain animal pens and ranch areas
  • Communicate any issues, concerns, or needs to management promptly
  • Assist guests with attractions including the Train, Mine, Excavator, Tractors, and Guinea Pig Pen
  • Support management with special projects as needed
  • Flex into other ranch roles and assist with additional tasks as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in sales or cash register operations is helpful but not required
  • This position is a great opportunity for first-time job seekers who are eager to learn and grow

Availability and Scheduling

  • Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday
  • Weekday availability is also required
  • Shifts may include
  • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor, physical role
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Lifting and carrying over 50 pounds regularly
  • Working in varying weather conditions
  • Handling animals and interacting with the public
  • Moving between different ranch roles as needed

Paid Test Run
As part of our hiring process, all candidates will participate in a paid test run of the role they are interviewing for. This allows both you and our team to see if River Street Ranch is the right fit.
