Career Development Specialist
This position will report directly to the Manager of Programs & Partnerships. This position is designed for a hard-working, motivated individual with strong communication and organizational skills who is interested in program development and designing and implementing youth development initiatives based on current research around Positive Youth Development (PYD).
An ideal candidate for this job would:
- Facilitate engaging workshops by planning and delivering interactive sessions that supports participant learning, skill development, and active participation.
- Support assessment and implementation of new youth development programs
- Contribute to the development and testing of internship training materials
- Assist in the management of career development related data both on Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and online platforms
- Develop marketing materials and campaign for all Career Development programs
- Provide constructive feedback on Career Development initiatives and identify new ways to deliver skills development and bring your ideas to fruition
- Collaborate with team members across the department
- Participate in all professional development training
- Perform related work based on role focus and meet deadlines as required
General Work Conditions:
Work conditions include but are not limited to:
- Working on a computer for an extended period of time
- Regular travel and commuting to different program sites.
- Managing sensitive documents
- Using various types of software
- Organizing data
- Communicating with management
