Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern (Unpaid)

Organization: SMART Academy
Location: Cleveland, Ohio (In-Person with some flexibility)
Duration: Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 (Flexible based on academic requirements)
Time Commitment: 8–15 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid (Academic credit encouraged, if applicable)

Position Overview

SMART Academy is seeking a Marketing Intern to support school-wide marketing, enrollment, and community outreach efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in education marketing, brand development, social media, and grassroots community engagement.

The intern will work directly with school leadership and gain real-world experience contributing to active campaigns that impact student enrollment and family engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with school marketing and enrollment campaigns

Create and schedule content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Help design or coordinate flyers, postcards, digital graphics, and newsletters

Support community outreach initiatives and local partnerships

Assist with website updates and enrollment messaging

Help collect photos, testimonials, and stories that highlight school culture

Analyze engagement data and help brainstorm marketing improvements

Support special events, open houses, and community events (as available)

Preferred Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Education, Business, or related degree program

Interest in education, community schools, or nonprofit marketing

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with social media platforms

Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools preferred but not required)

Self-motivated, organized, and creative

Comfortable working in a school and community-based environment
