The Role
We’re looking for a mid-level, AI-native SEO & GEO Strategy Specialist to own and scale our organic search visibility across Google and AI answer engines.

This is not a traditional SEO role and not a pure content-writing job.
You’ll be building systems, not just publishing blogs — optimizing how our brand is understood, trusted, and surfaced by AI search engines.

What You’ll Do

1. Own SEO & GEO Strategy
- Build and execute SEO + GEO strategies for fragrance products and brand content
- Optimize content for:
- Google Search
- Perplexity.ai
- ChatGPT / Gemini / other AI answer engines
- Structure content so AI systems can understand, trust, and surface it

2. Build & Scale Content
- Create and manage high-volume, professional content, including:
- Website blogs and landing pages
- LinkedIn
- X (Twitter)
- Reddit
- Other high-authority platforms
- Ensure every piece supports:
- Rankings
- GEO visibility
- Brand authority

3. Work AI-First (Every Day)
- Use ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI tools to:
- Research faster
- Create better content
- Optimize smarter
- Scale output without losing quality
- Use Perplexity.ai intentionally to guide GEO strategy and performance

4. Execute, Measure, Improve
- Publish consistently and move quickly
- Track what works and double down on it
- Optimize based on:
- Organic growth
- AI engine visibility
- Engagement and authority signals

Work Structure & Compensation
- Flexible, hourly startup role
- 20–30 hours per week
- Hybrid setup (some in-office, some remote)
- Local San Diego candidates strongly preferred
- $20–$40 USD per hour, based on experience and execution ability
- Mid-level role (1–2 years of hands-on experience)
- Performance incentives + commission tied to results
