Event Internship
JOB SUMMARY
The Events Intern will assist the Events Manager in the set up and execution of all on
premise events. Responsible for assisting management in ensuring all events are most
pleasing to members and guests. Learns to supervise event wait staff to assure member
and guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service and presentation. They
will be exposed to multiple areas of the club’s operations including, but not limited to, a
la carte restaurant, and private and club functions. This person will work closely with
the food and beverage team to achieve and exceed member expectations.

JOB DUTIES
1. Works closely with the Event Manager, Assistant CM, Executive Chef and others to
gain knowledge of how food and beverage departments are operated.
2. Accompanies Event Manager to meet and greets with hosts of private parties and
club events to plan menus, entertainment, audio visual requirements, etc.
3. Learns various ways to set up and layout an event. This includes proper buffet set
up, plated dinner execution, and cocktail style events.
4. Actively participates in the servicing of events.
5. Helps ensure that set up and break down of events are done correctly.
6. Is present for all pre-event meetings with servers to ensure smooth, efficient
service; assigns server stations and coordinates timing of courses.
7. Engages with the staff to ensure all duties are done correctly and are up to the
standards of management.
8. Discusses after event evaluations with Event Manager.
9. Special projects as assigned by the Event Manager and Assistant Clubhouse
Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working towards bachelor’s degree or upper education equivalent. Preferred
hospitality experience, club experience recommended. Must be proficient in the use of
Microsoft Word, Excel and able to learn POS. Must be positive and enthusiastic with
good attention to detail. At all times, must remain professional in appearance, voice,
and follow-through. Must have exceptional planning and organizational skills. Must be
able to work in a fast-paced environment with good interpersonal, written, and verbal
communication skills. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings,
nights, afternoons, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
