Strategic Partnerships Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Manager to join Silicon Valley Advantage (SVA), a leading Technology, Bio Tech and Sustainability Accelerator. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will work closely with the CEO, to establish relationships with large corporations, venture capitalists, and strategic partners to drive impactful collaborations and business growth for SVA’s portfolio companies.
The ideal candidate understands startup culture, possesses a deep curiosity for emerging technologies, is Tech. savvy, and has the ability to create strategic matches between innovative startups and established organizations. With a passion for sustainability and technology, this role requires a forward-thinking individual who thrives in an ever-evolving environment.
- Experience working with executives is preferred or maturity to function in this role
- Strong industry connections and or ability to reach out to Executives in the target segments
- The ability to represent SVA to attract strategic partnerships, VC’s and Investors and understanding ecosystem of an Accelerator
Key Responsibilities

Develop Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and cultivate relationships with corporations, venture capitalists, angel investors, and Service Provider offering funding sources.
- Create meaningful collaborations with industry leaders to accelerate innovation and sustainability and where various technologies best fit for a win-win solution between new tech and established industries.
- Take charge of what it takes to create a successful connection between startups and potential partners, ensuring mutual alignment for co-marketing, technology co-development, investment and what it takes to bring the startups to the next levels of growth achievement.

Business Development in the Accelerator Environment
- Work with startups to understand their unique technologies, strategies, and market opportunities.
- Design and implement tailored strategies to attract early customer traction, business development partners, and taking advantage of the Existing strategic partner in the SVA ecosystem for Marketing, Sales, Funding and product development.
- Provide guidance to startups on navigating partnerships, scaling their businesses, and achieving market success.

Technology and Market Insights
- Attend industry and partner events to stay ahead of emerging technologies, sustainability trends, and market dynamics.
- Analyze industry trends to identify future opportunities and potential challenges for startups.
- Actively seek out and assess new business opportunities aligned with SVA's mission.

Event Attendance and Representation
- Represent SVA at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our Accelerator and attract partners.
- Build and maintain a strong network of professionals within the sustainability, technology, and venture capital ecosystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Sustainability, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales, account management, or a related role, such as within an incubator, within a corporation, venture capital firm, or angel investment groups or strong desire to develop in this role.
- Strong understanding of startup culture, business growth and the ability to work with companies to scale up.
- Passion and curiosity for emerging technologies, sustainability, and future market trends.
- Existing network within the technology, sustainability, or investment space is a significant advantage.
- International experience or exposure is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
