Energy Division/ Building Decarbonization and Gas Policy Branch/ Building Decarbonization Section:

Under the general direction of the Project and Program Supervisor, the analyst will be part of a team of energy professionals and will use their analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex regulatory problems. Specifically, the analyst will assist with policy development relating to building decarbonization in various rulemakings and work relating to zonal electrification, as directed by SB 1221 (Min, 2024). The analyst will also oversee implementation of CPUC building decarbonization policy and/or programs.

 

This is a senior-level analyst position and will involve the responsibility of providing regulatory oversight for large energy programs, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, developing technical research and overseeing evaluation studies, leading meetings and providing presentations, and all aspects of achieving the state's goals of addressing climate change through building electrification.
