Information Security Intern

Origin Bank is excited to announce we’re hiring for our G.I.V.E Summer Internship Program!

 

We are currently seeking Junior and Senior college level students to work as an Intern for an 8-week summer internship starting early June and ending early August 2026.

 

Our G.I.V.E Internship Program (Giving Interns Valuable Experience) provides the opportunity for interns to gain valuable insight into the banking industry through daily business interactions while learning the importance of building relationships and enhancing a strong work ethic.

As an intern, you will develop a wide range of general business skills and etiquette, through real-world experiences, applications and processes.

 

The ideal Information Security Intern will work closely with the Information Security and Cybersecurity teams and will perform the following duties: 

Assist with regulatory, audit, and examination requests (internal audit, external audit, regulatory exams).

Support maintenance of information security policies, standards, and procedures.

articipate in IT risk assessments, vendor risk reviews, and data-classification exercises.

Observe and participate in incident response activities, including evidence collection, ticket documentation, and post-incident reviews, as appropriate

Assist in monitoring high-level security tool outputs (vulnerability scans, patching summaries).

Collaborate with IT and Cyber teams to improve overall security posture.

 

Qualifications/Skills (must possess the following):

Basic understanding of information security concepts (e.g., confidentiality, integrity, availability, common threats).

Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for technical documentation and professional environments.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Risk Management

Business Administration (with IT or Risk concentration)
