Operations and Customer Service Intern
Company Overview:
Southern Entertainment is a full-service event and production company producing premier music festivals across the United States, including Carolina Country Music Fest, Barefoot Country Music Fest, Lovin’ Life Music Fest, Georgia Country Music Fest, and Greenville Country Music Fest. Our interns gain hands-on experience assisting our team with the development and execution of high-profile live events.
This internship will be primarily focused on the preparation and execution of Carolina Country Music Fest (June 4–7, 2026) and Barefoot Country Music Fest (June 18–21, 2026), with opportunities to assist on additional events as needed.
Position Summary:
The Festival Operations & Customer Service Intern will assist with the organization and execution of ticketing and project workflows for large-scale music festivals. This position offers hands-on experience in live event operations, ticketing systems, and customer service while working closely with industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations of the Project Management and Customer Service teams
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding ticket purchases, upgrades, transfers, refunds, and event policies
- Assist with wristband and credential fulfillment for sponsor, VIP, artist, and media ticket allocations
- Provide on-site customer support during festival load-in, show days, and load-out
- Assist with post-event ticket wrap-up
- Complete administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current UNC Charlotte student or recent graduate in Event Management, Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
- Available for festival weekends and flexible hours as needed
- Interest in live music and event production a plus
