Marketing & Communications Intern

Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons company, is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support foundational corporate communications and earned media efforts. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in B2B and government-focused communications.

The intern will support day-to-day communications initiatives and help establish scalable processes for earned media and corporate messaging. This role will provide meaningful exposure to strategic communications, media relations, and brand storytelling within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compile, organize, and maintain a targeted list of relevant industry, trade, and government media contacts
  • Assist in developing media pitch outlines, story ideas, and foundational pitch templates
  • Support earned media efforts by tracking media coverage, monitoring mentions, and maintaining reporting dashboards
  • Assist with drafting and editing basic communications materials, including press release drafts, internal announcements, and briefing documents
  • Support communications efforts related to product launches, events, and corporate announcements
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and media coverage to support communications planning
  • Support social media initiatives by assisting with content coordination and tracking basic performance metrics
  • Provide general support to the Marketing & Communications team on special projects as needed


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable conducting research and working with spreadsheets or tracking documents
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and content performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, impressions)
  • Interest in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing within a B2B or government-focused environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
