QA/QC Technician - Ames, IA
- This position will work primarily in a physical wet chemistry lab for our seed treatment and crop protection production facility.
- This position would be responsible for:
- Inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established test methods
- Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
- Effective communication of batch results to the appropriate personnel
- Reporting of non-conformances related to quality
- Generation and maintenance of records related to product quality
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Laboratory testing to support Quality Analyst on day-to-day projects
- Secondary support maybe needed to assist in our microbiology lab at times as well. The additional duties may include:
- Preparation of media for use in both laboratories
- Microbial Testing and Plate Reading
- Assist in plant swabbing program
- Autoclaving of glassware and solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to distinguish colors
- High attention to detail
- Strong team player
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP or other manufacturing software experience preferred.
- Previous Quality Control experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry OR Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year of experience with wet chemistry lab techniques.
