Guerrilla Marketing Leader

We’re looking for a hungry, early-career marketer who wants real responsibility and real reps. You’ll lead guerrilla and grassroots marketing efforts, experiment aggressively, and help manage a small execution team.

You’ll work directly under the CEO and have ownership over campaigns, ideas, and results.

If you like moving fast, testing ideas in the real world, and learning by doing — this role is for you.

About Us:

Speedster is a same-day delivery App & Marketplace connecting local drivers and SMBs across California (currently SF → San Diego). We’re doing ~4,000 deliveries/month and growing fast. This is an early-stage, pre-Series A company where marketing decisions directly impact real revenue, real drivers, and real businesses.

What You’ll Do:

Lead guerrilla / grassroots marketing experiments (street campaigns, partnerships, local activations, scrappy growth ideas)

Help grow both sides of our marketplace:

Drivers + Small & local businesses

Plan and execute local campaigns (digital + real-world)

Manage a small execution team for content editing and Social Ad posting and Optimization.

Coordinate social, community, and lightweight paid efforts

Track what works, kill what doesn’t, and double down fast

Bring ideas — then actually execute them

What We’re Looking For

Early in your career (2–5 years experience)

Extremely self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity

Curious about startups, marketplaces, and growth

Willing to test unconventional ideas (and learn from failure)

Strong communicator who can rally others

Comfortable leading without formal authority

You do NOT need:

A big brand resume

Perfect polish

Years of experience

We care more about learning speed and ownership than credentials.

Why This Is a Great Opportunity:

Real ownership — not busywork

Direct access to leadership

Learn growth, marketing, and operations at a startup pace

Potential to be part of a startup success story early in your career

High visibility, high trust, high accountability

Location:

Open to remote, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with California / local community marketing.  Monthly/weekly on-site meetings in LA / OC are highly preferred.  Office currently at 800 N Brand Glendale, but moving to Irvine in 2026.
