Digital Asset Management Intern

POSITION SUMMARY 

Our internships are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the department you’re placed in, as well as an overview of every department’s contribution to our business. As a Digital Asset Management Intern, you’ll play an essential role in shaping how creative content is stored, organized, and accessed across the company. Assisting the Sr. Graphics Designer, you’ll help implement smarter, faster workflows that directly impact the efficiency of organization-wide teams. This hands-on experience not only strengthens your technical skills but also offers insights into the broader content management lifecycle, providing a solid foundation for future roles in digital media or asset management. 

This internship will begin in the summer of 2026.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Provides general, entry-level support to the internal communications and marketing departments.  
  • Assists in the ingestion of audiovisual files and creative assets into DAM/CMS/MAM systems. 
  • Applies metadata to uploaded content, following defined standards, naming conventions, and controlled vocabularies. 
  • Supports the organization of folder structures and digital file libraries to ensure consistency and searchability. 
  • Conducts basic quality checks on uploaded materials (e.g., format, resolution, completeness). 
  • Supports the execution of workflows for asset sharing, delivery, and storage across internal teams. 
  • Responds to basic user inquiries and provide troubleshooting support related to digital asset tools. 
  • Helps maintain user documentation, guides, and onboarding materials. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure assets are delivered and available on time. 
  • Assists marketing and communications in the development of new methods to improve DAM user experience and process efficacy and efficiency. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Current college junior/senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in library science, communications, marketing or computer science  
  • Must have at least a 2.8 GPA (3.0 or 3.2+ preferred) 
  • Must be involved in at least 1 extra-curricular activity or volunteer activity 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge of CMS (Content Management Systems), metadata standards, digital rights and database management, and cloud-based storage platforms (preferred)  
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Comfortable working across digital tools and learning new platforms quickly
