Accounts Payable Clerk
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
As an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK at PGS, you will serve as the main point of contact for vendors in the Maritime and Logistics Supply Chain Industries. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounts payable duties such as managing the AP e-mail box, vendor relations, and processing and tracking expenses. This position will work closely with both Operations personnel and Accounting personnel to ensure timely completion of cyclical financial data.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
•Process vendor invoices using Accounts Payable program.
•Sustain open communication with vendors and preserve good vendor relationships
•Create and maintain accurate vendor records
•Track monthly overhead costs using Excel.
•Maintain accurate and complete credit card records for monthly coding and reconciliation.
•Maintain and file supporting invoice documentation.
•Partner with Operations department on urgent payment requests.
•Participate in the month end close process
•Ensure vendor billing accuracy by reviewing and identifying discrepancies in vendor invoicing
•Understand, follow, and maintain internal controls.
•Process ACH run and check run on a weekly basis
•Assist with year-end closing procedures.
•Assist with year-end external audit.
•Assist with year-end 1099 filings
•Assist with research and aid in resolution to any discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
•Perform other duties as assigned, such as ad-hoc accounting projects.

•Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat.
•Proficiency with ERP systems preferred
•Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred.
•One year+ of experience in Accounts Payable preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•This position will work in an office environment.
• You will be expected to work a full-time schedule during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
