About the Role
We are seeking a Data Science Intern to support a project-driven initiative focused on applying modern data science and machine learning techniques to real-world problems. This internship is hands-on and impact-oriented, providing exposure to current data science tools, Python development, predictive analytics, and Large Language Models (LLMs). The intern will work closely with data scientists and engineers to explore data, build models, and contribute to actionable insights and prototypes. This internship is set to conclude in April 2026.
What You Bring
- Recent graduate or soon to graduate Masters in Data Science
- Availability until April 2026
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data using Python and standard data science tools
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and data quality issues
- Assist in the development, testing, and evaluation of statistical, predictive, and machine learning models
- Support experimentation with modern AI techniques, including large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI workflows, under guidance
- Build prototypes using AI/ML on real datasets
- Develop and evaluate AI agents that integrate models, tools, and data sources to complete multi-step tasks
- Assess data availability, quality, and relevance to determine feasibility of predictive modeling efforts
- Apply appropriate evaluation metrics to validate model performance and assess predictive viability
- Validate results and assess model performance using appropriate quantitative metrics
Write and deploy code that follows clean code techniques, SOLID architectural principles, and version control best practices - Adhere to data governance, privacy, and security requirements
