Founding School Principal

Kesher Academy is looking for a School Principal!

Kesher Academy is a new K–8 public charter school grounded in academic excellence, whole-child development, and a strong sense of community. We are seeking a founding Principal who is both a strategic leader and a people-centered educator—someone energized by building school culture, developing strong systems, and creating an environment where students and teachers thrive.

This Principal will play a key role in launching and leading Kesher Academy, shaping instructional vision, operational structures, and a culture rooted in trust, clarity, and high expectations. Working closely with the partner networks, the principal will bring Kesher’s mission to life through strong academic outcomes, meaningful relationships, and a joyful learning environment.

This role is ideal for a leader who communicates with purpose, leads with integrity, and is excited by the opportunity to build something intentional from the ground up.

Required Skills/Experience of the School Principal

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in K–8 education, including classroom teaching experience
  • At least 3 years of school leadership experience (Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean, or equivalent instructional leadership role)
  • Coaching experience, delivering professional development and or school team leader
  • Knowledge of Student Intervention Support systems
  • Knowledge of English Language Development strategies and best practices
  • Knowledge of Administering and Preparing Students for SBAC Testing
  • Knowledge of group decision making and change processes or learning theories
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify potential solutions and make appropriate and effective decisions
  • Ability to establish effective organizational and community relationships
  • Ability to work in a diverse socio-economic and multicultural community
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
  • Ability to project a professional image in person, over the phone and in writing
  • Ability to delegate and multitask efficiently and effectively
  • Creative self-starter with a positive outlook who is approachable and available
  • Reliable, flexible, out-come oriented and performance driven
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workplace preferred

  • Position: Full Time exempt employee
  • Salary: $95,000-$140,000 a year
