Customer Service Specialist

VDTA is seeking a customer service specialist to join our tax office team for the upcoming 2026 tax season at our office in Kentwood, MI. This seasonal position will be the first point of contact for our clients via phone, email, and in-person greetings. Main duties include greeting clients, receiving and recording documents, and other general office duties as assigned. This job requires the highest level of confidentiality as we handle sensitive financial information for our clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of customer service experience

Excellent work attendance history

Computer skills and the ability to learn new applications quickly

High school degree or GED

A contagious positive attitude

 

Responsibilities:

Greeting clients

Answering phone calls and emails

Handling and preparing incoming & outgoing mail

Gathering documents, digitizing and distributing those documents & client communications to the tax team

Packaging tax returns and assisting clients with our checkout process

Receiving and recording documents and payments

Additional duties as assigned by VDTA team
