MARKETING INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Doge Coin Energy Drinks Marketing Internship is a structured, hands-on learning experience designed for marketing students seeking real-world startup experience. Interns will actively participate in digital and offline marketing initiatives while completing 120 total hours over a 2–3-month period.

The internship places a strong emphasis on online content creation, social media growth, SEO, and brand engagement, while also exposing interns to event-based and grassroots, on the ground marketing efforts.

INTERNSHIP TIME REQUIREMENTS

  • Total Hours: 120 hours
  • Duration: 2–3 months
  • Weekly Commitment: Approximately 10–15 hours per week
  • Orientation: Required at the start of the internship
  • Weekly Meetings: Required (virtual or in-person)

Interns must track hours and meet all attendance requirements to receive academic credit.

ORIENTATION & MEETINGS

Orientation (Required):

  • Overview of Doge Coin Energy Drinks brand and mission
  • Review of internship expectations and learning objectives
  • Social media brand voice and content guidelines
  • Introduction to SEO, keywords, hashtags, and analytics tools

Weekly Meetings (Required):

  • Progress updates
  • Content review and feedback
  • Planning weekly posts, reels, and blogs
  • Strategy discussion and performance review

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Interns will gain experience in:

  • Startup marketing strategy and execution
  • Digital content creation and short-form video marketing
  • SEO, keywords, meta descriptions, and hashtag optimization
  • Brand engagement and online community building
  • Event and on-the-ground marketing execution
  • Marketing analytics and performance reporting

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES

ONLINE MARKETING (PRIMARY FOCUS)

Weekly Content Requirements

  • 4–5 short-form videos/reels per week
    • TikTok
    • Instagram Reels
    • YouTube Shorts
  • 3–4 static posts per week
    • Product highlights
    • Memes
    • Promotional graphics
  • Daily engagement activities
    • Responding to comments
    • Engaging with trending content
    • Community interaction

Content Themes Include:

  • Meme-driven and trending audio content
  • Lifestyle and “POV” energy drink content
  • Product and flavor features
  • Behind-the-scenes startup content
  • User-generated content and reposts

SEO, META DATA & BLOG PRODUCTION

Intern will assist with:

  • 1 SEO-optimized blog post per student (500–800 words)
  • Keyword research related to:
    • Energy drinks
    • Focus, fitness, gaming, crypto culture
  • Writing and optimizing for posts/reels:
    • Meta titles
    • Meta descriptions
    • Headers (H1, H2, H3)
  • Strategic hashtag and keyword usage across platforms
  • Linking blog content to social media posts
  • Tracking traffic growth and engagement metrics
  • Local high domain authority website ex. Discover Oshkosh

EMAIL & DIGITAL PROMOTIONS

  • Assist with email campaign drafts and promotions
  • Assist in organizing customer email lists from promotions
  • Write promotional copy for product launches and sales

OFFLINE / ON-THE-GROUND MARKETING

Intern may assist with:

  • Product sampling events at:
    • College campuses
    • Local stores
    • Community events
  • Booth setup and brand presentation
  • Customer interaction and feedback collection
  • Capturing content at events for social media use

SUPERVISION & EVALUATION

  • Intern reports directly to the Marketing Supervisor/Founders
  • Weekly feedback and guidance provided
  • Final evaluation based on:
    • Attendance and meeting participation
    • Completion of required hours
    • Quality and consistency of content
    • Creativity and initiative

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

  • Internship may be remote with occasional in-person marketing events
  • Intern must have taken digital, commercial, or social media marketing related courses or be able to demonstrate related skills.
  • Flexible scheduling outside of required meetings
  • Internship is paid with bonus incentives
  • Intern must enjoy producing fun and creative content with enthusiasm 
  • Intern will receive portfolio-ready marketing experience
