Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform residential and light commercial service calls. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, and ventilation systems while delivering professional, customer-focused service. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient in the field, strong in troubleshooting, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
Key Responsibilities
-Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems (gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, mini-splits, etc.)
-Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and preventative service
-Accurately identify system failures and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements
-Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, solutions, and costs
-Complete service tickets, documentation, and reports accurately and on time
-Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards
-Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment in professional condition
-Participate in on-call rotation as required
-Required Qualifications
-3+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience
-Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
-Working knowledge of electrical, gas, airflow, and refrigeration systems
-EPA 608 Certification (required)
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Professional appearance and customer-service mindset
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with both residential and light commercial systems
-NATE certification or equivalent
-Experience with modern diagnostic tools and digital service software
-Strong sales or repair-recommendation communication skills (not pushy)
-Physical Requirements
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined areas
-Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in varying weather conditions
