Marketing & Communications Intern

Marketing & Communications Intern (Social Media Focus) — Spring 2026

For College & Graduate Students Who Lead, Create, and Get Things Done

Are you the kind of person who raises your hand first, juggles multiple commitments, and still delivers high-quality work? Do you love creating content and taking ownership of projects from idea to execution?

High Tides Consulting is a mission-driven consulting firm that helps organizations and leaders grow with clarity, strategy, and intention. We’re seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern for Spring 2026 who is equal parts creative, organized, and proactive—someone who thrives with autonomy and wants real responsibility.

This role is ideal for a student leader who’s active on campus (clubs, student organizations, fraternities/sororities, or leadership programs) and excited to build a strong content portfolio across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Substack.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and strongly encourage women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the creation of social media content across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Substack
  • Help plan and execute a consistent, on-brand content calendar
Turn ideas, insights, and thought leadership into engaging posts, captions, carousels, and short-form video
  • Design clean, compelling graphics and templates using Canva
  • Work independently to meet deadlines and manage weekly deliverables
  • Track basic performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Jump in on additional marketing and communications projects as needed

You’re a Great Fit If You:

  • Are currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or related program
  • Can receive academic credit for your internship
  • Are actively involved in campus leadership (student orgs, clubs, fraternities/sororities, or leadership programs)
  • Are a self-starter who doesn’t need constant direction and follows through on commitments
  • Manage your time well and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities
  • Have experience creating social media content (personal brand, org accounts, freelance work, or internships all count)
  • Write clearly and confidently, with a strong sense of voice and audience
  • Are comfortable using Canva (video editing, Reels, or TikTok experience is a big plus)
  • Are interested in consulting, leadership development, entrepreneurship, or impact-driven work

What You’ll Get

  • Academic credit
  • Real ownership over social media content and strategy
  • Portfolio-ready work across multiple platforms
  • A flexible schedule (approximately 10–20 hours/week)
  • Direct access to leadership and mentorship
  • A professional, fast-moving environment that values initiative and accountability
