Vocational Case Coordinator

Position Summary: Prepare youth between the ages of 18-24 for the development of a career pathway by providing them with self assessments in the areas of skills and interests, and guiding them towards education/training, leading to employment and self sufficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and support of enrolled youth and correspond with them weekly either face to face, using Social Media or by phone for updates and to track progress.
  • Attend weekly case conferences with Career Pathways (CP) team members regarding upcoming events, career fairs, recruitment opportunities and referral resources. Provide feedback on social media activity of clients or lack thereof.
  • Conduct and document weekly updates on youth status, including enrollments, training, job development, job placements and retentions, meeting target milestones for engagement.
  • Conduct monthly 60 hour job readiness curriculum based training, maintaining an 80% classroom retention rate.
  • Develop community based resources including education, training, workplace clothing provisions, childcare, substance dependency treatment, housing, etc. Share resource information with participants and staff as required.
  • Enroll minimum of 25 clients on a monthly basis into Career Pathways (CP) program, based on eligibility criteria. Parental contact may be required. Conduct presentations and collect and maintain accurate enrollment documentation. Assist in addressing any additional barriers to program participants prior to enrollment.
  • Meet milestones as established by management in all case coordination areas of job function. Assist with training and employment retention activities to support job development activities up to 120 days of employment.
  • Using assessment tools provided by the program, help participants learn about their skills, strengths, values and interests and to assist client in choosing appropriate skill based or educational training prior to choosing a career path.
  • Monitor attendance and update case-note activities, and case management sessions, including training and education attendance for assigned caseload.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1 Year experience required.
  • Individual must have the ability to engage and motivate youth from diverse backgrounds. Must understand the principles of youth development and applying them to the core values of NADAP.

Salary: $50,000/year

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm; 5 days onsite for first 30 days of training, then schedule will change to 4 days on site 1 day remote
