Front Office Administrator [Full-Time]

Murtha & Flischel is a leading CPA firm specializing in tax preparation and accounting services. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy Front Office Administrator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment.

This role supports daily front office operations and plays an important part during tax season, contributing to excellent client service and accurate administrative processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with general questions or appointment scheduling
  • Review completed tax returns for accuracy using provided data sheets
  • Upload finalized tax returns to the client portal, request signatures, generate invoices, and notify clients
  • Maintain organized physical and digital client files
  • Ensure accurate client information across internal systems
  • Assist with general administrative and front office tasks as needed

Seasonal & Work Expectations:

  • This position has a higher workload during peak tax season (January–April)
  • Ability to manage increased call volume and time-sensitive tasks during busy periods
  • Occasional extended hours may be required during peak season; schedule expectations will be communicated in advance
  • Outside of tax season, hours and workload are more consistent

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (students currently enrolled or recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software (UltraTax, TaxDome, Monday.com)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Prior administrative, customer service, or office experience is a plus
