Audio Reading Intern

There is so much to love about your library!  The Audio Reading Service (ARS), a department at the Allen County Public Library, provides audio access to printed news and information for people who have difficulty reading traditional print due to a variety of disabilities and/or conditions. Over 100 volunteers read and record programs which are broadcast on radio, TV, online streaming, and podcasts.

The ARS Intern supports the day-to-day operations of this service through a mix of administrative and audio-related tasks. This position offers hands-on experience in media operations, volunteer coordination, and accessible audio production.

This position will help upload recorded and produced audio programs to website and podcasts, assisting with preparing the recording studios for staff and volunteers, support listeners by processing surveys, radio applications, and special request information, and more!
