Assistant Chef and Dietary Specialist

Location: East Otis, Massachusetts
Compensation: $400+/per week (commensurate based on experience)
Dates: Approximately Late May to end-August 2026 (Dates can be flexible for the right applicant)

Camp Description: The Berkshire Soccer Academy is an overnight soccer camp for girls. We offer an elite training experience for girls, ages 10-16, in a traditional camp setting on a private lake in the Berkshires.
Scope of Work: The Assistant Chef will work closely with the Head Chef and a team of 8 kitchen assistants to provide nutritious food and snacks to 175 campers and 80 staff daily. The intern will have a keen focus on ensuring that dietary alternative food is prepared and served to the correct guests. This will include catering to staff and campers that are (but not limited to) vegetarian, gluten free, Dairy free, vegan, etc. Daily responsibilities will include food preparation, kitchen cleaning, and food stocking. The Assistant Chef will have 1 regularly scheduled day off for every 6 working days.
Job Qualifications based on our Service Standards:
- Ideally 2+ years of experience in food preparation and service or studying in related field.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
- Serv Safe certified or equivalent, a plus.
- Past summer camp experience, a plus.
- Ability to perform physical duties, lift approx. 30 pounds.
