Position: Sales & Outreach Intern
Amesi & Associates is a women-owned accounting and business consulting firm based in Los Angeles. We support small businesses, creatives, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs through tax preparation, bookkeeping, compliance, and advisory services.
We are seeking a motivated Sales & Outreach Intern to support client acquisition and revenue growth during tax season. This is a hands-on, performance-oriented role ideal for someone interested in sales, marketing, business development, or entrepreneurship.
This position is in-office and requires residency in Los Angeles County.
The Tax Season Sales & Outreach Intern will support revenue growth by assisting with lead generation, outreach, appointment booking, and promotion of tax services. This role blends sales, marketing, and community engagement, with clear performance goals tied to client acquisition.
This is not a passive marketing role — it is an active outreach position focused on results.
Key Responsibilities
Client Outreach & Sales Support
- Conduct outreach to potential tax clients via phone, email, text, and social platforms
- Follow up with warm leads from ads, referrals, events, and inquiries
- Book tax consultations and intake appointments
- Track outreach efforts and outcomes in simple CRM or spreadsheets
Marketing & Promotion Support
- Assist with promotion of tax season offers and deadlines
- Support tabling, networking events, and community outreach efforts
- Help distribute flyers and digital promotions
- Provide feedback on what messaging is converting best
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Assist with email responses and calendar scheduling
- Support intake follow-ups and client reminders
- Help maintain organized records of leads and appointments
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track outreach activity, booked appointments, and conversions
- Participate in weekly check-ins to review goals and progress
- Make recommendations based on client responses and trends
QualificationsRequired
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field
- Comfortable speaking with people by phone and email
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and proactive
- Must be based in Los Angeles County
- Comfortable working toward performance-based goals
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous experience in sales, outreach, customer service, or fundraising
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing
- Interest in entrepreneurship, accounting, or small business development
- Experience working during busy or deadline-driven periods
Compensation & Incentives
- Hourly stipend or internship pay (based on experience)
- Commission and/or bonuses for each new client brought in
