Deposit Raising Outreach Intern

We are seeking a Deposit Raising Outreach Intern to join our team!    

 

Are you interested in banking with a focus on deposit-raising? With your help, Self-Help will be able to do more lending within the organization for the underserved community.   

 

The team provides responsible financial services, financial education, lending for consumers and small businesses, and commercial real estate financing in key impact areas, such as affordable housing, clean energy, nonprofits, and more. They also advocate in support of under-resourced communities and against predatory lending practices.  

 

WHAT You’ll Do:   

Assist with community deposit-raising efforts by collaborating closely with non-profits.  

Develop and deliver programs on financial management, understanding credit reports, and addressing the impact of predatory lending on underserved communities.  

Learn about Self-Help's mission and contribute to various team activities as needed.  

 

WHAT You’ll Need:     

Undergraduate or graduate students, recent graduates welcome to apply    

Demonstrate a sincere interest in non-profit work, education, advocacy, or social work  

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills   

Proficient written and verbal communication skills   

Strong organizational skills    

An enthusiasm for learning   

Strong attention to detail   

 

This is a paid internship at $24.00 per hour
