Business Development Representative (BDR)

We are looking for a Business Development Representative who is ready to launch their career in high-tech sales. While this is an entry-level position, it is a high-impact role focused on the Enterprise and Large Business segment.

You don’t need a decade of experience, but you do need a deep interest in marketing technology (MarTech) and the drive to hunt for new business. You will be the "tip of the spear," interacting with CMOs and VPs to uncover opportunities.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identify key decision-makers (CMOs, Marketing VPs) at large companies and engage them through cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Lead Qualification: Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and determine if they are a fit for Topify.AI.
  • Become a Market Expert: Deeply understand the marketing tech landscape so you can speak the same language as our customers.
  • Pipeline Generation: specific targets for meetings booked and qualified opportunities generated.
  • Learn & Grow: Shadow senior reps on closing calls with the goal of managing your own deal cycle within 6–12 months.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience. Recent graduates with strong internships or individuals looking to pivot into tech sales are encouraged to apply.
  • MarTech Fluency (Must Have): Even if you haven't sold it before, you must understand the marketing tools landscape. You should know what tools marketers use (e.g., SEO, PPC, Content Management, Analytics) and how AI impacts them.
  • The "Hunter" Mentality: You are not afraid of rejection. You are persistent, resilient, and motivated by hitting targets.
  • Enterprise Presence: You are professional, articulate, and confident enough to speak with senior executives at major corporations.
  • Coachability: You are eager to learn sales methodologies and implement feedback quickly.

 

Bonus Points

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, or internships).
  • Familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Apollo.
