Videographer

Job description

Our videographers immerse themselves in the heart of the action, capturing the vibrant energy of camp life, and weaving together a visual narrative of how God is at work at Camp Barnabas. Our camp videos showcase the sheer joy, endless adventure, and encouragement that our Campers and Missionaries experience at camp. Videographers live in a cabin with Campers, Missionaries, and other Staff, and will help in the cabin as needed. By the end of the camp journey, our videographers will not only leave with a stunning portfolio of action-packed camp footage, but also the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines, experience collaborating with an awesome media team, and lifelong memories and camp stories.


Key Roles: 

  • Capturing the heart of Barnabas to share with campers, missionaries, staff,  parents, donors, and all who are part of the ministry. 
  • Working on a team to ensure that schedules are being followed and all activities, parties, cabins, staff, etc. are being captured. 
  • There may be other duties assigned by the direct supervisor when necessary.  This list may not be exhaustive.  

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining relationships within the media team and communicating with the Media Lead or Coordinator if questions or problems arise. 
  • Fulfilling the needs of videography that may arise within the media team. 
  • With the help of the team, videographers create a mid-week video and wrap-up video for each of the nine weeks of camp. You also have the opportunity to help create reels for our social media. 
  • Videographers will use Camp’s editing settings on all materials produced in the summer to match brand guidelines.
  • While working in the office, maintain a professional, and inviting environment. 
  • Help support your cabin outside of videography duties, check with your cabin staff to see what times your support is needed.
