Operations/Warehouse Support Technician

Job Summary

The Operations & Warehouse Support Technician plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate scheduling support, and efficient warehouse workflow. This position acts as the second point of contact for scheduling and operations, supports the Operations Manager, prepares materials for the field team, and processes all e-commerce fulfillment orders. This role is essential for keeping field crews equipped and jobs running on schedule. The position is fully warehouse-based with some in-office work.

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Operations & Warehouse Support Technician to support daily operations, warehouse workflow, scheduling coordination, and e-commerce fulfillment. This role ensures the field team has the materials, information, and resources needed for efficient project execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Support & Scheduling Coordination

  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for scheduling support, job preparation, and field team coordination.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in organizing daily and weekly job schedules, ensuring materials and equipment are ready.
  • Communicate with field leads to confirm job readiness, material availability, and staging requirements.
  • Track incoming and outgoing job materials to ensure accurate distribution.
  • Maintain daily operations logs, job checklists, and warehouse activity reports.
  • Alert operations leadership of any material shortages, delays, or issues that may affect scheduling.

Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming shipments of solar materials, tools, and renewable energy products.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse stock, labeling, and material storage for efficiency.
  • Stage and prepare complete material kits for upcoming field jobs, following provided layouts or checklists.
  • Ensure all outgoing project materials are accurate, complete, and loaded correctly.
  • Perform routine cleaning of the warehouse, aisles, and shared workspaces.
  • Maintain office and warehouse cleanliness, including trash disposal, restroom upkeep, and restocking supplies.
  • Keep warehouse equipment, tools, and inventory areas organized and safe.

E-Commerce Fulfillment

  • Process and fulfill e-commerce orders through the Clean Power Store platform.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Coordinate with USPS/UPS/FedEx for pickups and delivery scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate records of e-commerce inventory and notify management of low-stock items.
  • Ensure customers receive timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Field Team Preparation & Support

  • Assemble and organize material bundles, toolkits, and hardware needed for upcoming installations.
  • Assist with pre-assembly tasks as instructed (non-electrical).
  • Review job material lists to ensure completeness before field deployment.
  • Communicate with field supervisors to confirm any last-minute material needs or changes.
  • Maintain readiness of warehouse tools, ladders, PPE, and consumables needed by field teams.

QualificationsExperience

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, operations coordination, or fulfillment required.
  • Experience supporting field teams, construction crews, or service technicians is highly preferred.
  • E-commerce order fulfillment experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when coordinating with field staff and operations leads.
  • Ability to follow checklists, schedules, and workflow procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling assistance, inventory management, and order processing.
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools for simple prep tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to step in where needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Coursework or experience in operations, logistics, or warehouse management is a plus.
