PR/Press Relations/Event Planning Internship - Nor'easter Publishing
A great opportunity for aspiring public relations individuals interested in both traditional and digital publishing, e-books and audiobooks.
This is a terrific internship to receive practical experience in both traditional PR methods and modern online communications with a growing publisher and audio production company with regional and national goals.
You will build a valuable PR contact list for future use in the Boston/New England area. Nor'easter is an imprint focused on New England-based authors and storytelling.
You will assist the CEO with:
- Authoring Press Releases for latest book releases based on existing company templates
- Creating organized PR/marketing schedules
- Communicating with existing PR contacts at various trad and online publications
- Increasing our outreach to appropriate periodicals, media, audiobook and book reviewers
- Assisting in Event Planning for Book Launch Events in New England
Our team works together to make sure all text is proofed, edited, and fits our aesthetic and branding.
This internship is 10 hrs/week. Attending a weekly Wednesday 8pm ET company meeting is required.
We have an office/recording studio in Central Square, Cambridge MA.
At the completion of the internship, intern will receive at least a $100 stipend. Many interns have gone on to become waged employees at $15-25/hr.
