Executive Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary
This position combines high-level administrative support with hands-on project coordination in a fast-paced public-sector environment. The Executive Assistant / Project Manager will work closely with senior leadership at a US Government Agency, supporting daily operations, managing projects, and ensuring organizational priorities are executed efficiently.
Position Overview
The Executive Assistant / Project Manager provides direct support to senior leadership while independently managing projects that support agency operations and strategic initiatives. This role requires exceptional organization, strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to senior leaders, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence preparation
- Serve as a project manager for assigned initiatives, tracking timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
- Prepare briefings, reports, presentations, and meeting materials for internal and external audiences
- Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure project milestones are met
- Monitor action items, follow up on deliverables, and maintain project documentation
- Support planning and execution of meetings and events
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- US citizenship (required due to government contracting requirements)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a government, public sector, or regulated environment
- Prior experience as an executive assistant, project coordinator, or project manager
- Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies
