Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Gather, analyze, and interpret financial, operational, and market data to support decision-making.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance summaries for leadership.
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement across multiple hotel properties.
• Manage and analyze large datasets using Excel and other analytical tools.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports with high accuracy.
Operational & Financial Support
• Assist in evaluating property performance, labor productivity, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Support KPI tracking and help refine metrics across the portfolio.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for operational or capital initiatives.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Revenue Management, and HR to gather and validate data.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
• Help improve reporting processes, automation, and workflows.
• Support system upgrades or software implementations requiring data mapping and testing.
• Participate in special analytical projects as assigned by leadership.
• Provide recommendations that help streamline operations and reduce costs.
Education, Skills and Abilities:
• Education: Associate’s degree in business, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, Hospitality management, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role preferred. Candidates with strong Excell skills and demonstrated analytical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts), familiarity with Google Workspace and reporting tools. Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus not required. Willingness to learn new software(s).
• Analytical Mindset: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to translate data into insight.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, reporting, and analysis.
• Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly, both verbally and in writing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to Learn: Open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable learning new systems, tools, and methodologies.
• Organization & Confidentiality: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
• Occasionally lifting items up to 20lbs.
• Comfortable working in an office setting with extended screen time.
• Occasional travel to hotel properties for meetings or data collection (Valid driver’s license preferred).
