Management and Budget Analyst - Intern
The ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel and able to work with large data sets to produce clear, accurate reports. Strong skills in formulas, data analysis, formatting, and attention to detail are essential.
Assists in conducting analysis and evaluating organization work methods or fiscal procedures and/or problems.
Prepares written analytical reports including recommended strategies to promote or counteract fiscal or productivity trends.
Provides technical assistance in establishing agency performance objectives and performance measures.
Assists in preparing and analyzing quarterly revenue and expenditure forecasts.
Assists in the preparation and analysis of quarterly productivity monitoring systems, annual fiscal trend monitoring systems, and quarterly capital project status reporting systems.
Assists with preparation of annual operating budget and capital improvement program.
Assists in analyzing and monitoring operating and capital funds from initial budget submission and development to year-end closeout.
Assists with preparation of narrative and financial information required for development of the annual proposed operating and capital budgets.
Uses standard research techniques or devises appropriate techniques to assist with the solution of management problems and with the implementation of new programs and policies. Performs related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation within the past twelve (12) months from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or Management; OR Student who has successfully completed at least three (3) years [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year] of a Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or Management PLUS must meet all of the requirements for graduation within twelve (12) months of submitting the Intern application
