Sales Engineer

About the Company:

American manufacturing is broken and burdened by inefficiency, bureaucracy, and outdated processes. At Dirac, we are pioneering Model-Based Manufacturing, where context-aware production planning informs design in real-time, eliminating the disconnect between engineering and manufacturing. Our platform automates what can be automated and captures tribal knowledge where automation falls short, creating a seamless system for building at scale. We're building the tools modern manufacturers need to move faster and build better, the pillars of a more abundant future. We are a mission-driven company of world-class engineers and operators with a culture of high trust, high agency, and high autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver high-impact technical demos tailored to each customer’s industry, workflow, and pain points.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for prospects and customers across aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.
  • Lead product walkthroughs, deep technical evaluations, and on-site proof-of-concept deployments.
  • Explain Dirac’s architecture, capabilities, and ROI clearly to engineers, operators, and executive decision-makers.
  • Translate customer requirements into product insights and collaborate closely with engineering.
  • Build lightweight integrations, sample workflows, and custom configurations to demonstrate BuildOS in real manufacturing environments.
  • Visit customer facilities to understand assembly processes, CAD pipelines, and factory operations.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and customer-facing presence — especially in live demos and technical explanations.
  • Understanding of mechanical assembly, CAD workflows, and the manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Strong coding ability — ideally with experience in React, TypeScript, Go, Python, and/or C++.
  • Ability to think across software, mechanical design, and production engineering.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in factories and fast-moving technical environments.
  • High ownership mindset suited for a fast-growth startup.
