What You’ll Do

  • Achieve objectives outlined in your annual sales plan.
  • Prospect for new business through existing clients, centers of influence, and targeted industries.
  • Connect with prospects to understand their needs, provide quotes, and schedule sales appointments.
  • Review current insurance programs, risk management plans, and loss histories to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain organized prospect and client details in our CRM (Monday.com).
  • Gather underwriting information and prepare complete, compelling submissions for marketing.
  • Develop and present insurance proposals that clearly communicate coverages, limits, deductibles, and recommendations.
  • Partner with our Marketing Department to identify the best markets for each account.
  • Lead client and prospect meetings, explaining proposals, renewals, and coverage options.
  • Collaborate with account managers and transition service-related inquiries smoothly.
  • Stay informed on claims or service issues and step in when needed to support the client relationship.
  • Participate in renewal strategy discussions and help ensure high account retention.
  • Keep production reports current and attend sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Represent the agency in the community and build your professional network.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new products, and carrier training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to pursue and close sales; skilled at building relationships and developing business.
  • Willingness to make cold calls, attend events, join associations, and network to grow your book.
  • Sales experience (3+ years preferred, but we will train the right person).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Account Managers and Marketing for a seamless client experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with occasional interruptions.
