Power Provider Intern
Inside Passage Electric Cooperative (IPEC) is looking for interns who want to get experience working for a power provider. The position responsibilities and location are flexible depending on candidate interest, with special interest in two roles:
A Juneau based intern who wants to learn more about accounting or engineering.
An intern in Hoonah, Kake, Chilkat Valley, Angoon, or Klukwan who wants to learn about power plant operation and line work.
$20-$24 per hours depending on experience
Full or part-time for at least 3 months
Must be 18+

IPEC is a nonprofit, consumer-owned electric utility cooperative serving the rural Southeast Alaska communities of Hoonah, Kake, Angoon, Chilkat Valley including Klukwan. It generates and distributes electricity from diesel and hydroelectric power plants to over 1,400 members. IPEC staff includes power plant operators, accountants, technicians, linemen, and engineers.
