Brand Manager (Seasonal) – Camp Rockmont for Boys

Position Type: Seasonal (May 31st - August 8th)
Reports to: Marketing Director
Location: Black Mountain, NC

Camp Rockmont is an interdenominational Christian summer camp for boys, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Black Mountain, North Carolina. Position Overview:

Camp Rockmont is seeking a creative and organized Brand Manager to oversee our storytelling and visual content across multiple platforms. This seasonal role is responsible for managing Rockmont’s social media presence, producing session slideshows, and ensuring high-quality content delivery to camper families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for a summer camp community, strong leadership skills, and a sharp eye for compelling content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
    • Develop and schedule engaging content across Rockmont’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc.).
    • Monitor engagement and adjust content strategy based on analytics and trends.
  • Photography Program participation.
    • Alongside a team of 3-4 photographers, collaborate on scheduling, creative direction, photo/video quality, and photo delivery.
    • Ensure daily publication of high-quality photos for camper families to access through Rockmont’s photo platform.
  • Content Production:
    • Oversee the creation of session slideshows to highlight camp experiences for end-of-session presentations.
    • Collaborate with the Administrative Director in Summer blog management.
    • Capture and curate content for post-summer and year-round use, ensuring Rockmont’s story continues beyond the camp season.
  • Brand Consistency:
    • Uphold and strengthen Rockmont’s visual and written identity across all platforms.
    • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to maintain consistent authenticity in messaging and tone.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media management and content creation
  • Strong organizational skills (photo tagging, managing content libraries, coordinating publishing schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of media assets)
  • Photography or media production experience (management experience preferred)
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities
  • Familiarity with photo editing software and slideshow production tools
  • Passion for youth development and the summer camp environment
