Summer Staff
Riverbend Summer Staffers provide refuge and Christ-like service to thousands of young campers attending church camp at Riverbend Retreat Center every summer. Summer staffers assist in food service and camp cleaning, and they specialize in one of the following areas: Lifeguarding, Facilitated activities, Retail sales, Food preparation, Groundskeeping, or General support. Summer staffers contract to work from the last week in May through the first week in August (Exact dates TBA). They work five days on and two days off, based on a rotating shift schedule for their 11 contracted weeks. Pay starts at $950.00 per month (based on 22 full work days). Pay is negotiable based on experience and skills. Workdays are typically 12-13 hours long, with 3.5 hours of scheduled breaks. All Riverbend Summer staffers are provided three meals per day and dorm-style housing with wifi as a non-cash benefit for the duration of their summer employment. Riverbend provides all needed professional certifications (Red Cross Lifeguard, Zipline Operator) as a non-cash benefit to Summer staffers. No experience is required for this position.
Essential skills:
- Willingness to learn new skills and try new things.
- Ability to perform moderate activity, outdoors, during summer, for up to 4 hours.

- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
