Commercial Reporting Specialist

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Analytics, the Commercial Reporting Specialist will develop, maintain and enhance reports and tools that track sales and marketing program performance. This role ensures data accuracy, supports stakeholder reporting needs, and drives adoption of reporting solutions to enable informed decision-making across US commercial teams.

Responsibilities

 

Requirements gathering and reporting development:

Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions. 

  • Identify opportunities for report enhancement, automation, and improved effectiveness.
  • Manage workload from reporting intake queue, prioritize requests, and communicate estimated delivery times to requestors.
  • Data Accuracy & Maintenance:
    • Ensure accurate data inputs for reporting, including Promo ID application. 
    • Validate formulas and perform spot-checks to ensure accuracy prior to report distribution.
    • Document and maintain reporting SOPs to ensure consistency and cross-functional adoption
  • Reporting & Analysis for Key Initiatives:
    • Conduct reporting on initiatives such as Fit Set Activation, rebate redemption, sales team activity, and marketing program targeting.
    • Own customer progress reporting for Corporate Accounts, including revenue growth, product mix, and category comparisons. 
    • Develop metrics and report on Corporate Account and Professional Affairs customer event KPIs.
    • Evaluate and develop sales tools and calculators, escalating more complex requirements to BI Team for alternative solutioning
  • Practitioner Rebate Portal Ownership:
    • Manage user setup, access and security.
    • Serve as the primary resource for requirements gathering, prioritization, data validation, functionality testing, and deployment of enhancements.
    • Respond promptly to inquiries from Sales and Customer Users regarding accessibility or data issues, coordinating with tool vendor and IT as needed.
    • Develop and maintain reporting on portal adoption, program performance, and comparative modeling.
  • Enhance Stakeholder Engagement:

Assist Commercial Analysts in creating training materials (videos, guides) for reporting tools and systems. 

Participate in Sales Team Power User sessions, Sales Advisory Council meetings, and new hire training sessions to gather reporting needs and reinforce best practices.

Collaborate with Sales Development to assist in creation of user training and communications for new Rebate Portal functionality.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot)
    • CRM systems (Salesforce)
    • Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Tableau)

Strong Excel skills (lookups, SUMIF, pivot tables, data cleansing, chart creation, calculation formulas). 

Ability to summarize findings clearly and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines. 

Quick learner with ability to navigate third-party data systems, dashboards, and portals.

Experience translating business needs into reporting solutions.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based, possible travel (less than 5%) to other CVI locations, customer sites and industry events.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job. 
  • There will be extended periods of sitting and using a computer.

 

Experience:

  • 3+ year experience in Commercial reporting and analytics.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
  • Ability to demonstrate professional experience in commercial reporting and data analysis.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $69,380.00 and $87,500.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
