Growth Marketing Intern

About the role
We’re looking for a creative and analytical Growth Marketing & Social Media Intern to help accelerate Jona’s brand growth across digital platforms. This role blends content creation, influencer marketing, and data-driven growth strategy, making it ideal for students passionate about both storytelling and performance marketing.

You’ll collaborate closely with Jona’s Marketing Coordinator and Chief Commercial Officer to design and execute campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition across channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn to drive brand growth and audience engagement.
  • Produce compelling video and visual content that communicates microbiome science, longevity, and wellness in an approachable, on-brand way.
  • Identify, engage, and collaborate with creators and health professionals to expand Jona’s reach and credibility.
  • Support campaigns across email, social, and influencer channels to nurture engagement, retention, and conversions.
  • Track and analyze performance data (reach, engagement, conversion, CAC, LTV) to identify insights and optimize future content.
  • Stay up to date on wellness, longevity, and microbiome trends to inform growth and content strategy.
  • Partner with product, sales, and customer experience teams to align campaigns with broader business goals.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Passion for digital marketing, social media, and the health and wellness industry.
  • Strong storytelling and creative direction skills, able to turn complex topics like microbiome science into clear, engaging content.
  • Basic understanding of growth metrics such as engagement rate, CAC, and conversion.
  • Experience using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo, or data visualization dashboards (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Prior internship or project experience in startups, digital health, e-commerce, or biotechnology.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, experimental mindset, not afraid to test ideas, learn from data, and iterate quickly.
  • Bonus: Existing relationships with wellness or lifestyle creators
