Our platform answers and routes inbound calls, automatically follows up with every lead, and runs AI-powered hiring flows that post jobs, interview candidates, and shortlist top applicants. ServiceAgent integrates with platforms like ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, HubSpot, and Go High Level, giving business owners full visibility into revenue gained from improved conversion and roles filled without manual effort.

The Opportunity


We’re looking for a AI Software Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of AI automation tools for service businesses. You’ll work closely with the founding team to design AI-powered systems, build full-stack features, and influence the technology and product direction from day one.
This role is ideal for engineers seeking a high-impact position with significant ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to build real-world AI solutions that power hiring and operational automation.

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
  • Architect scalable backend systems and establish engineering best practices
  • Develop AI-driven features and workflows using APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and other LLM providers
  • Build automation pipelines using no-code/low-code tools (e.g., n8n) to rapidly prototype and deploy AI workflows
  • Integrate third-party services including Stripe, CRMs, ATS platforms, messaging systems, and analytics tools
  • Translate business and hiring workflows into automated systems for internal and external users
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team on product strategy, roadmap planning, and feature prioritization
  • Participate in technical decision-making, code reviews, and sprint planning
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and ship features quickly

Qualifications
 

  • Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL)
  • Experience shipping full-stack products (startup, SaaS, freelance, or personal projects)
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Proficiency with Vite and Git-based workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to turn concepts into working products

Bonus Experience
 

  • Building AI/LLM-driven applications
  • Workflow automation using n8n or similar tools
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture
  • Authentication and permission systems
  • Workflow automation or AI agent design
